RAD. Is there medication.

I have been infected..

I bought my first razor about a month ago and shortly after acquiring all the necessary shave accessories strop, hone, good soaps, and aftershave. I bought a goldegde. I finally put a good edge on the goldedge and it seems be shaving nicely. Well I like the little ducks so I got in a fight bidding on a wonderedge, Yeah I won it along with a satinedge (blade only) I have got some G10 on order from alphaknifesupply.com and will be putting some scales on the satinedge and a wade & butcher I have the scales where toast and a no name that looks like a W&B will get some pics up when I receive the wonder and the satin.

But in a more serious note. Is there medication for the RAD??

That wouldn't work.. as I have a back log of making these razors usable I will be set for a while.. I just need to turn this humidor I got into a storage box. and then I will finish collecting my 7days of ducks....

As I said to cure the RAD to not go on ebay, I do exactly that unless I am looking for particular blade, and things are very well in check.
If by WE you mean Wonder Edge, I do not own a DD and do not have any near future plans to own one.

Oh I have seen that just seems over priced to me.. But what do I know.

No cure that I've found yet. I suppose that we could become addicted to something else but I'm having too much fun with razors at this point.

You find any sweet spots locally? I am in Sacto also and was thinking of hitting some of the antique shops.

The cure is pretty simple and it doesnt require medication.

"Rarest of the rare." Lately I've seen more Dubl Duck Lifetimes on ebay than, say, GR stamped blades. Anyone have info on just how many DDs were produced? Weren't they really pumped out back in the day?

I have found that buying a new rifle slows my RAD somewhat as now I simply HAVE to acquire more magazines for said rifle AND LOTS OF AMMO!! :rofl2:

The answer is actually very simple: HAD

You will no longer notice the pains of RAD. RAD will not completely go away and you will get a twitch once and a while...but you can control it.

MUST have more ammo...

There is no cure for Rad. There is, however, a medication that helps. This medication is called Money. It comes in different strengths (called denominations). Currently there is a shortage of this sought after medicine. There should be more available shortly after the New Years Holiday when they crank up the presses again. Please make sure your prescription is up to date.

the cure is ................................... lack of $$$$$$ if you run out or dont have it you cant buy !!! i had 7 show up in one week and i think 6-7 more in the mail i think my cure is coming soon cause i wont have the money to buy another ..lol.. but the stay off of ebay trick is working also , now if i could stay off the classifieds on here id be set ... :)

Oh there is an antidote to all that RAD stuff and that is when you "significant other " slaps you side of the head....it is all over then! :eek:

Just remember to go to the amount of money that is spent on make-up observation. Buys one a little time in a pinch like when you have a item arriving the next day and you can't stop it from being delivered.

If your wife complains, get a boat. When she sees that one tank of gas equals 10 razors, she'll get quiet. When she see's your inboard motor replacement is 10X what you ever spent on razors, she'll ask you if you don't want to get back to your razor hobby.

There's hope...I'm 3 months without a purchase...not counting the SRP custom and the one Glen is restoring :)

Although it did take paying for a destination wedding, reception at home, family vacation, and a superstorm to curb my buys lol.

There is a disease that does stop RAD. It's called emptycheckbookitis.

You simply didn't have enough razors! You have got to find that proper amount that she gives up counting, works well with guns too...somewhere around the 60 mark works well for me.

Ya, if its under $40, its coming home with me. That's my cut off point. Mind you, there's a few on my list, if I found, I'd pay more for. I'm not a big ebay buyer, I've bought all my blades from antique stores in the area. I have a section in my phone dedicated to names of towns that have antique stores in them. If I'm out driving, going some where, and I see a store ill punch it into my blackberry. I've gone back to every town I've ever wrote down! No end in sight for my RAD.

There is a pretty big difference between compulsion and happiness. Compulsion makes you do stupid things, things than not only hurt you but hurt those around you. Happiness is more difficult to come by...

I'm very happy acquiring many razors! Its my compulsion!

Didn't mean this personally HARRYWALLY...and I did not mean to put a tin hat on the party. I've been around addicts of one sort or another my whole life....guess I tend to look on the dark side of things when it is not altogether necessary.

No problemo WW243. I look at the acquisition more of a collection. Everything I have bought is worth more then I paid for it. Probably double, maybe triple. The razors that is. I cant speak for the others but Im sure its the same. Some day when I die my son or grandson will be stuck with my collection and Im sure they'll be happy. Either they'll sell it for a good chunk of change or they'll keep it. I look at my RAD as a win win situation. :o
